As the owners of X-Cel Gymnastics, Frank and Kathy began their careers as gymnasts at the University of Pittsburgh. While a member of Pitt’s gymnastics team, Frank was chosen as their MVP. After graduation, he remained at Pitt for six years as an Assistant Coach. His team achieved national ranking. Kathy was also a member of Pitt’s gymnastics team. She graduated from Pitt with a Bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education and a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology. Frank and Kathy have both coached beginning to elite level gymnastics. With 34 plus years of coaching experience under their belts, they opened X-Cel Gymnastics in the fall of 1993. Since 1992, 25 of X-Cels’s gymnasts have gone on to receive college gymnastics scholarships. Frank is the Head Coach for the Competitive Teams at X-Cel. He was named Optional Coach of the Year in 1998 by Pennsylvania USA Gymnastics.
